Miami Heat veteran power forward Udonis Haslem has decided to have surgery on his right knee, and hopes he would be fit in time for pre-season training camp.
"Obviously, I don't heal like I used to so I've got to be a lot smarter and this forces me to be smart. My body's a little weary right now, a lot more weary than it was after last year," said Haslem.
The 33-year-old was a key player in the NBA Finals series, which saw the Heat beat the Spurs to reclaim NBA title after seven games, reports Xinhua.
Haslem scored 3.9 points per game in the last regular season.
