The cold wave intensified in Himachal Pradesh on Thursday with Keylong freezing at minus 8.5 degrees Celsius.
The temperature in Keylong, the headquarters of Lahaul and Spiti district, was down by 2.7 degrees Celsius compared to Wednesday, after this week's snowfall. Keylong is some 250 km from the tourist resort of Manali.
Kalpa in Kinnaur district saw a low of minus 3.6 degrees, while the temperature was minus 2.2 degrees in Manali, 1.4 degrees in Dalhousie and 4.2 degrees in Dharamsala, a Met official told IANS.
Shimla recorded a minimum of 1.5 degrees, a slight rise all from Wednesday's minus 0.4 degrees.
The Met office said weather would largely remain dry till the weekend.
