A movie debut with a horror film is a rarity. Newcomer Nandini Vaid, who has taken the plunge, says shooting for the Vikram Bhatt movie was an emotionally draining experience for her.
The actress says the film's genre required a "dark and dingy" feel.
"It is quite challenging. It is a dark and dingy film. We were constantly shooting in the same environment. Bringing that fear factor to the table and doing the scenes everyday was emotionally draining. It was tough," Nandini told IANS.
Nevertheless, it was a good learning experience for the model-turned-actress.
"It was a great learning experience as it is an unconventional film. The film is with one of the best names in the horror genre," she said.
Post "Horror Story", she wishes to do a happy film and she is especially keen to be a part of a romantic story.
"I would love to do a happy film now. I want a nice romantic comedy or a drama. I will take up anything which proves me as an actor. I am looking for something which I feel is challenging and where I can prove my mettle," said Nandini.
The former Miss India participant said that she is open to modelling projects as well.
"I have not been modelling for quite some time now. Right now, the focus is on films. But modelling jobs keep coming my way in terms of endorsements or maybe walking for someone. It is all co-related. For me, any kind of good work is welcome," she said.
Directed by Ayush Raina, "Horror Story" also stars Karan Kundra. The film will release Sep 13.
