Indian female driver Mira Erda has revealed her dream of becoming a Formula 1 racer before heading into the Red Bull kart fight, an amateur go-karting tournament set to get underway later this month.
"Ever since I started racing as a nine-year-old I dream of becoming a Formula 1 racer," Erda said on Tuesday.
Wishing all the participants, the Vadodara-based said the race is held in a safe and confined environment.
"Red Bull Kart Fight is the perfect platform for aspiring racers in the country to test and showcase their racing skills in a safe and confined environment. I wish all the drivers the best and hope to see a lot of girls pushing pedal to the metal at this tournament," Erda said.
The kart fight will kick off with the qualifiers later in July and will go until September in Mumbai and Delhi. The national finals will be held in October.
