"India is an important market for Indonesia and Garuda's flights on the Jakarta-Mumbai route will establish an important direct link between the two countries. It will help forge an even more solid bridge to enhance future partnerships between the two nations, both Asian new economic powerhouses," he said.
Presently, Indonesia is one of the largest markets to India with around 350,000 people travelling both on business and leisure.
Its Mumbai service will be operated by a Boeing 738 with two-class cabin configuration in 12 business class and 144 in economy class seats.
