The Indian junior women's hockey team were held to a 3-3 draw in their fifth and penultimate match against New Zealand at the TET Multisport Centre here Wednesday.
India led the game 3-1 for the better part of the tie, but the junior Black Sticks, in a late resurgence, levelled the score 3-3.
India showcased good form by maintaining a 3-1 lead till the last six minutes when the hosts turned the match on its head. New Zealand fought back and sliced in two goals to level the score and force a draw.
With a total of three wins and two draws, New Zealand have already claimed the series.
India will take on New Zealand in the final game Thursday.
