The Indian team put on a fine batting display as they piled up 341 for six declared in their first innings in their second warm-up match against Derbyshire at the County Ground here Tuesday.

In reply to the hosts' 326 for five declared, the Indians lost openers Murali Vijay and Shikhar Dhawan early for six runs each on the second day of the match.

Cheteshwar Pujara, who top-scored with 81, and Virat Kohli (36) got the innings back on track with their 63-run stand for the third wicket.

Kohli was castled by Ben Cotton and then Mahendra Singh Dhoni (46) and Ravindra Jadeja (45) got some valuable experience at the centre.

Pujara was also retired out, paving the way for others and Stuart Binny came up with an unbeaten 81 along with Ajinkya Rahane, who made 13 not out.
