Software major Infosys Ltd on Thursday declared a final dividend of a whopping 275 per cent (Rs 14.75) per share of Rs 5 face value for the fiscal 2016-17.
In a regulatory filing to the BSE, the IT firm said the total dividend for the fiscal under review (FY 2017), was Rs 25.75, including Rs 11 per share (220 per cent) of interim dividend declared on October 14, 2016, for the first six months of April-September.
"The aggregate dividend for FY 2017 amounts to Rs 25.75 (495 per cent) per share, resulting in a total payout of Rs 7,119 crore, including Rs 4,078 crore for the final dividend," said the filing.
The total payout amounts to 49.6 per cent of post-tax profit and 63 per cent of free cash flow -- net cash provided by operating activities less capital expenditure.
"Dividend payout includes Dividend Distribution Tad (DDT)," added the filing.
