For the first time under coach Santiago Solari, Spanish midfielder Isco Alarcon on Thursday made the Real Madrid starting lineup for the Melilla clash in the second leg of the Spanish Cup round of 32.
Isco was inserted from the bench during Real Madrid La Liga clashes against Real Valladolid, Eibar and Valencia, but he did not take part in the Celta Vigo clash, reports Efe news.
In the UEFA Champions League, he took the field for only 17 minutes against Viktoria Plzen, and was dropped out of the squad for the Roma clash in the continental elite club tourney.
He was left out of the team in Madrid's 4-0 win over Melilla in the first leg of the Spanish Cup.
The Argentine coach also counted on Brazilian forward Vinicius Junior and Jesus Vallejo; Vallejo returned to competitive matches after recovering recently from an injury that kept him on the sideline for ten consecutive games.
Real Madrid's starting lineup is as follows: Keylor Navas, Alvaro Odriozola, Vallejo, Javi Sanchez, Dani Carvajal, Federico Valverde, Marcos Llorente, Isco, Marco Asensio, Mariano and Vinicius.
