ITC's luxury hotel in Odisha to be ready by next year

Diversified conglomerate ITC Ltd is expecting that its luxury hotel under "WelcomHotels" brand in Odisha will be ready by end of next calendar year and the company's consumer goods manufacturing facility will also be commencing operations next year, an official said here on Monday.

"In the last Conclave, we announced two flagship projects. Both these projects have made tremendous progress over the last couple of years.

"The large consumer goods manufacturing facility will be commencing operation next year, ahead of schedule of 2020. It will manufacture the range of our products," the company's Managing Director Sanjiv Puri said, adding the luxury hotel under the "WelcomHotels" brand will be "ready to welcome guests towards end of next calendar year".

Investment friendly policies, good governance, robust infrastructure, mineral and agriculture resources and access to other markets have made the state a complete investment destination, he said at the Make in Odisha Conclave here.

According to him, the state is a vibrant, dynamic and preferred destination for manufacturing investments.

"ITC is committed to working together with Odisha in the socioeconomic development of the state," he said.
