Jamaica will host the next in a series of town-hall meetings around the Caribbean, the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has announced.
The famous Kingston Cricket Club has been chosen as the venue for the two-hour-long meeting scheduled for this Friday in the Jamaican capital, reports CMC.
"We are taking into consideration all the views to see how the Board of Directors and management team can facilitate change for a positive outcome for the game in the region," said WICB president Dave Cameron on Tuesday.
"The region's cricket requires all of its affiliates and stakeholders to make the product develop and grow, and we look forward to hearing how we can continue to make a positive impact on the sport."
So far, the top brass of the WICB have had dialogue with the fans of the game from Barbados, Dominica, St. Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana.
Topics covered have been wide-ranging including selection matters, the operation of the WICB Professional Cricket League, player relations, player development, pitch preparation and governance issues.
During Friday's town-hall meeting in Jamaica, fans will get their chance to ask questions and make comments about the sport and how the region can merge its efforts to make the cricket industry more viable than it has been.
"We're enthusiastic about continuing to use these sessions to listen to concerns and share information about where West Indies cricket is now, Our strategic goals for the future and how the fans can impact upon the way we progress," said Cameron.
