Augsburg have signed attacking midfielder Takashi Usami from Japanese football club Gamba Osaka in a four-year deal.
The 24-year-old will strengthen Augsburg' s midfield after penning a four-year deal on Friday, which is stipulated until summer 2020, reports Xinhua.
"It is great that the medical examinations and signature have been processed quickly. Now I am looking forward to getting to know my new team-mates and to stand on the pitch with them," Usami told the club's official homepage.
Augsburg's new arrival received the jersey number 39 and will train for the first time with his team-mates on July 2.
Usami knows the Bundesliga as he played on loan at Bayern Munich (2011-2012) and Hoffenheim (2012-2013) to make overall 23 appearances and two goals.
Augsburg completed the last season on the 12th place of the standings. They encounter Wolfsburg for their season opener on August 27.
