Jharkhand assembly summoned July 18 for trust vote

The Jharkhand cabinet Saturday decided to convene an assembly session July 18 to seek a trust vote, Chief Minister Hemant Soren said Saturday.

"We have requested the governor to convene assembly session on July 18," Soren told reporters here following the first cabinet meeting of the newly sworn-in government.

Soren Saturday took oath as the ninth chief minister along with two ministers - Rajendra Prasad Singh of the Congress and Annapurna Devi of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).
