The Jharkhand government on Friday decided to give a plot of land to Deepika Kumari for her contribution in archery.
The government was giving 4,500 square feet of land at the Harmu Housing Colony "for her remarkable contribution in the field", an official statement said.
Former World No.1 Deepika was part of the Indian women's recurve team that won a silver medal at the just ended World Championships in Copenhagen.
Jharkhand has previously allotted 4,000 square feet of land to Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
