Jitu Rai, Sanjeev Rajput and Mairaj Ahmad Khan have qualified for the season ending ISSF World Cup Finals Shooting competition, to be held in the cities of Bologna and Rome in Italy next month, it was announced on Tuesday.
Jitu will be participating in two events, the Men's 10 metres and 50m Pistol, while experienced Rajput will take part in the 50m Rifle 3-Position competition. Mairaj will be participating in the Skeet event.
The Rifle and Pistol event will be held in Bologna October 4-10 and the Shotgun event is scheduled to be held in Rome October 10-16.
The season ending competition brings together the top eight performers of the year in each discipline along with defending champions as well as, in an Olympic year, all medallists at the Olympics.
A total of 119 shooters from 34 countries will be represented in the Rifle and Pistol event while 58 participants from 26 countries will take part in the Shotgun event.
