The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on Friday launched a 'web-casting and video conferencing' facility' to conduct administrative meetings, lectures, and even viva voce for students.
"Jawaharlal Nehru University has launched the video conferencing and web-casting facility on December 15. The launch was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor M. Jagadesh Kumar," a statement from the varsity read.
"The university also aims to use the video conferencing facility for conducting viva voce (oral test) of M.Phil. and Ph.D. students and also for faculty interviews," the statement quoted Kumar as saying.
"It will also help university avoid delay in conducting M.Phil and Ph.D. examinations."
