Jude Law welcomes daughter

Actor Jude Law and his 23-year-old former girlfriend Catherine Harding have welcomed a daughter.

"I can confirm the arrival of Jude Law and Catherine Harding's daughter. Both are delighted and continue to ask that their privacy and that of their child be respected," Law's representative told eonline.com.

No other details about their little girl, including her name, have been revealed.

Jude Law, of "The Grand Budapest Hotel" fame, began gearing up for fatherhood in October with he and the singer expecting their child together in the spring. While they are no longer in a relationship, they are both wholeheartedly committed to raising their child.

This is the first child for the pair, but the fifth child for Law, who has three children by ex-wife Sadie Frost -- son Rafferty, 18, daughter Iris, 13, and son Rudy, 12. He also has a daughter Sophia, 5, with Samantha Burke.
