Attacking Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for failing on the water issue, Swaraj India on Tuesday announced a 'Jal-Swaraj' campaign to address the "grave" water crisis in the national capital.
Attacking the Aam Aadmi Party government, Swaraj India's Delhi State President Anupam said that while it is claiming it has given free water to Delhi's people, common people are facing an acute problem of water shortage.
"At a time when the soaring temperatures are leading to worsening of the water crisis, the Chief Minister, rather than trying to solve the crisis, is busy in a political drama with the BJP, Lt Governor and the Central government," he said.
The party said that the 'Jal-Swaraj campaign' will begin on June 16 from Patel Nagar assembly constituency and spread to other constituencies facing a water crisis.
