Khalsa Warriors continued their unbeaten streak as they defeated California Eagles by 59-54 in the 26th match of the Wave World Kabaddi League (WKL) here Monday.
With the Bhatinda leg over, the league will travel to Jalandhar with matches beginning from Sep 19-21.
The first quarter was an evenly contested affair with both teams going all out.
There was nothing to separate the two with the match tied at 14-14.
For the first time in the tournament, Khalsa Warriors fell behind in the second quarter to hand their opponents the advantage.
Going into third quarter, the scores were 29-26, three points in favour of the Eagles.
The Warriors then fought back brilliantly to wipe the Eagles lead and open up a two-point gap.
The two teams were locked on equal points right till the last moment.
The final three minutes saw the Khalsa Warriors turn the match in their favour and just about edge out their opponents.
