Kolkata Knight Riders fast bowler Morne Morkel has received a reprimand for breaching the Indian Premier League (IPL) Code of Conduct during his team's match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium here.
"Morkel admitted to the level 1 offence (Article 2.1.4) of using insulting language during the match. For Level 1 breaches of the IPL Code of Conduct, the match referee's decision is final and binding," said a statement.
The Knight Riders eventually won the tie by two runs Thursday night.
In Wednesday's match at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Rajasthan Royals skipper Shane Watson was fined $20,000 for maintaining a slow over rate during the Chennai Super Kings innings.
