Kuwait will host the ministerial meeting of the US-led International Coalition against the Islamic State on February 13, Kuwaiti Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah said on Tuesday.

The meeting is part of efforts to fight against terrorism, he said, Xinhua reported.

Applauding the coalition for the tangible progress it has made in Iraq and Syria, he stressed that more cooperation is needed to ensure peace and security in the world.

He also hoped that this significant meeting would be fruitful.

The US-led international coalition against the IS includes US military forces and personnel from over 30 countries.
