Moscow, May 11 (IANS/EFE) Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State John Kerry will meet on May 19 in Russia's Black Sea resort city of Sochi, Russian news agencies reported on Monday.
The two officials will discuss the crisis in Ukraine in addition to the conflict in Yemen and Syria, Russian diplomatic officials confirmed.
Although Moscow attaches great importance to the meeting, it does not expect concrete results, the officials said.
The long-awaited meeting will finally take place on May 19, as Kerry is finally making the trip that he has cancelled several times in the past.
The crisis in Ukraine has destroyed relations between Russia and the US, which accuses Moscow of militarily supporting separatists in eastern Ukraine after having annexed Crimea.
