Long way to go: Liam Payne on new love

Singer Liam Payne has put to rest speculation about his love life. He has confirmed that he is indeed in a relationship with his school-time friend Sophia Smith.

Payne, a member of One Direction band, confirmed the news during a press conference of their forthcoming 3D movie "This Is Us" in London.

"Yes, I have a girlfriend and she is new. Sophia and I were in school together, she is absolutely stunning. We have a long way to go," Payne said.

This is Payne's first relationship after ending his long-time romance with dancer Danielle Peazer.
