The registration process for the Direct Benefit Transfer of LPG (DBTL) in Odisha was encouraging, union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said here Monday.
"The registration of consumers to avail benefit through DBTL is satisfactory in Odisha. While the DPTL entry was 12 percent a few days back, the registration has reached 40 percent," Pradhan told reporters after reviewing the DBTL scheme's progress in the state.
The deadline for the implementation of the DBTL scheme across India is March 31, 2015.
Urging people to register their bank accounts with the DBTL scheme, Pradhan said consumers would not be entitled to gas subsidy if they fail to link their bank accounts with their concerned gas agencies within the stipulated time.
