Madeleine Madden to star in 'Dora the Explorer' movie
Australian actress Madeleine Madden has grabbed a role in Paramount Players' movie "Dora the Explorer".
The film based on the animated series "Dora", also cast actors Isabela Moner and Eugenio Derbez, reported hollywoodreporter.com.
"Dora" was a Nickelodeon series that aired its 172 episodes from 2000 to 2014. It centred on a young American Latina, who along with her monkey, Boots, faces riddles and characters such as a thieving fox named Swiper as she went on quests.
Isabela Moner is starring as Dora, with the movie version updating the character into a teenager. Madden will play Dora's friend, whom she meets in high school.
Helmed by James Robin, the film is scheduled to release on August 2, 2019.
