An unidentified assailant Saturday shot dead a man going to office, police said.
The incident occurred near CISF underpass in Indirapuram.
Dinesh Negi, 35, a resident of Vasundhara area was going to his Noida office on a motorcycle. As he reached the underpass, two men on a motorcycle drew near and the pillion rider fired two shots at him before they fled the scene.
On the call from some locals, police reached the spot and took Negi to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead.
Negi is said to be the younger brother of a personal assistant to former Faridabad MP Avtar Singh Bhadana.
"The dead body has been taken for an autopsy. Police are trying to nab the criminals," said Superintendent of Police (City) Shiv Hari Meena.
