Mouloudia Club of Algiers (MCA) won 1-0 against the other city based club of Nasr Husein Dey (NAHD) in the Algeria Football Cup final at the 5th July Stadium here.
Right winger Abderrahmane Hachoud scored the winning goal in the 82nd minute with a powerful 40-meter shot, reports Xinhua.
Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal handed over the cup to MCA's captain, Faouzi Chaouchi.
It is the eighth trophy for Mouloudia after winning it in 1971, 1973, 1976, 1983, 2006, 2007 and 2014.
Established in 1927, MCA is the oldest and most popular soccer club in Algeria.
On August 13, MCA will face arch-rival and Ligue 1 champion, USM Algiers, in a thrilling Super Cup game.
