Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Monday visited the family of the police officer who was killed near Achabal in south Kashmir along with his five associates.
Mehbooba Mufti met the family of slain Station House Officer Feroz Ahmad Dar in Anantnag district.
Emotional scenes were witnessed during the Chief Minister's visit to the bereaved family where she met the parents and the widow of the officer who laid down his life.
The only son of his parents, Dar has left behind two daughters and his wife. The Chief Minister promised all possible help to the family.
Dar was killed along with five other policemen on June 16 by a group of heavily armed Lashkar-e-Taiba militants in Thajiwara village of Achabal.
