Indian men have developed a deeper understanding of fashion and make independent choices as far as style is concerned, says designer Narendra Kumar Ahmed, who has dressed the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Kabir Bedi and Neil Nitin Mukesh.
"Men's fashion has taken a while longer to evolve, and has certainly come a long way with a whole host of brands available in India catering to the category specifically. Today's men not only have the ability to spend extravagantly, but also have deep understanding of fashion. They no longer depend on their spouses to define their style," Ahmed told IANS.
Having dressed numerous celebrities over the years -- from Simi Garewal to Neha Dhupia and Kabir Bedi to Neil Nitin Mukesh, Ahmed's highpoint was styling megastar Amitabh Bachchan for a season of "Kaun Banega Crorepati."
