Trinidad and Tobago surrendered a two-goal lead as Mexico hit back to steal a 3-3 draw in their international friendly at the Rio Tinto Stadium.

In yet another thrilling encounter following their equally entertaining 4-4 stalemate during the CONCACAF Gold Cup in July, Trinidad and Tobago led 2-0 after 38 minutes. But Mexico hit back with a goal before half-time and then two in the second half, to earn a share of the honours on Saturday, reports CMC.

Mexico had the better of the early exchanges but the Caribbean side took the lead against the run of play when Jonathan Glenn headed in his first goal for the national side in the seventh minute.

With six minutes left in the half, Keron Cummins doubled Trinidad and Tobago's lead, ghosting into the box to meet Glenn's cross and beat goalkeeper Alfredo Talavera with his finish.

Mexico started their revival seconds later through Carlos Esquivel who headed in Jorge Torres Nilo's cross from close range.

And Mexico were back on level terms in the 55th minute when Raul Jimenez connected well with Esquivel to get his deflected shot past goalkeeper Jan-Michael Williams.

As they did in the first encounter two months ago, Trinidad and Tobago once again roared back with Joevin Jones's brilliant free kick deceiving the wall and Talavera in the 69th minute, to put them in front again.

With time ticking away, Trinidad and Tobago appeared to have the game sewn up but Hector Herrera spoiled the party with a long range drive in the 84th minute that proved too much for Trinidad and Tobago's defence.
