Actress Lea Michele chose to spend her late boyfriend Cory Montieth's first death anniversary away from Los Angeles.
She went to the San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito alongwith her friends and current beau Matthew Paetz.
"She was in Los Angeles when she (had) got the news that Cory died. So she was not going to stay in LA over his anniversary," eonline.com quoted a source close to Michele as saying.
The source added that everyone had a great time, relaxing and hanging out at the spa.
Michele had never publicly talked about Montieth until after his untimely demise, only breaking her silence while accepting a Teen Choice Award in August 2013.
"For all of you out there who loved and admired Cory as much as I did, I promise that with your love, we're going to get through this together," the emotional "Glee" star had said to her fans and viewers.
Montieth, 31, was found dead at the Fairmont Pacific Hotel in Vancouver July 13, 2013. He died of mixed drug toxicity, with heroin and alcohol found in his system.
