Militants in south Kashmir's Kulgam district on Monday snatched five service rifles from guards of a minority picket, police said.
According to the details, five SLRs, 10 magazines and 250 rounds of ammunition have been taken away form the guard room of a minority picket in Samboo D.H. Pora village.
"A manhunt has been launched to trace the militants and the guards posted at the minority picket are being questioned", a senior police officer said here.
Minority pickets are security pickets posted in villages in the Valley where members of the minority Kashmiri Pandits still continue to live.
The majority of the local Pandit community migrated out of the Valley when the ongoing separatist armed struggle started in the Valley in early 1990s.
