A man has killed his 11-year-old relative here for tuning the television up loud, police said Friday.
The incident took place in west Delhi's Nihal Vihar area around 11.30 p.m. Thursday.
Harishchandra Singh, 32, hit his brother-in-law Jairam on head with a heavy object, police said.
Jairam's parents, who found his body in their home when they returned from work, told police that Singh used to indulge in fights with their son for tuning in the TV loud, and that might be the reason behind the attack.
"At the time of the incident, Singh and Jairam were alone at home," said a police official.
Singh, who hails from Bihar, is on the run and a police team has been sent to Bihar to trace and nab him, the official said.
