Tamil Nadu Governor K. Rosaiah Wednesday termed Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the nation's pride and ray of hope.
Greeting Modi on his 64th birthday Wednesday, Rosaiah said: "You are our nation's pride, a ray of hope, a guiding spirit and a beacon of light. Your people oriented development projects, dedication and commitment to serve the nation have made India all set to become a global leader."
"I wish you a long, happy and healthy life in your distinguished service to the people and the nation," Rosaiah added in his message to Modi.
In her letter to Modi, Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa said: "On the joyous occasion of your birthday, I would like to convey my felicitations to you and wish you many more happy returns of the day."
"I pray that the Almighty may grant you many more years of good health to serve our nation," Jayalalithaa said.
DMK president M. Karunanidhi, PMK leader S. Ramadoss and MDMK general secretary Vaiko also greeted Modi on his birthday.
