Prime Minister Narendra Modi's personal rapport with top global leaders helped build a climate favourable to foreign investment and also speed up pace of development, union Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu said on Monday.
"It is the best opportunity for India, thanks to the prime minister's leadership. He has established personal relationship with all global leaders. It will help us grow faster," Prabhu said.
He was speaking at a talk organised by the Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the port town of Vasco.
"If there is (foreign) investment, India will be able to create jobs, remove poverty, get technology and become efficient. All this will held India develop at a faster pace," he said, adding that France, the US, Australia, Japan and China and investors from regions like Latin America and Europe were keen to invest in India.
