MRF unveils new tyre Masseter

MRF, the country's largest tyre manufacturer, unveiled a state-of-the art product it has dubbed as the "cornering specialist", at an event here.

Made for two-wheelers of 150 cc and above, the "Masseter" is "built for cornering, which will appeal to riders who like to hit long, winding roads", the company said in a release.

A highlights of the tyre is that "all its features, like the compound and rounded profile, are perfect for those who ride on the edge", the release added.

"The idea was to get people to actually experience what the Masseter can do... to simulate an environment where the rider could test the tyre to the hilt but be assured of his safety while doing so," said Koshy Varghese, Executive Vice President, Marketing, MRF Ltd.

Headquartered in Chennai, MRF exports tyres to over 90 markets abroad. It manufactures rubber products, including tyres, treads, tubes and conveyor belts, paints and toys.
