President Pranab Mukherjee Sunday cancelled his visit to the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Mandi in Himachal Pradesh owing to bad weather, an official said.
Mukherjee was scheduled to attend the second convocation of IIT.
The president won't be able to reach the venue due to bad weather, a government official told IANS.
Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and Governor Kalyan Singh gave away the degrees and medals.
The IIT campus is located in Kamand village near Mandi, about 175 km from here.
However, President Mukherjee prayed at the popular temple of goddess Maa Baglamukhi in Kangra district.
