St. John's (Antigua), Oct 3 (IANS/CMC) Guyanese fast bowler Subrina Munroe was recalled to the West Indies women's squad for a tour of Australia starting later this month.

The 29-year-old has been included in the 14-member squad which plays four Twenty20 Internationals and One-Day Internationals (ODI) each, the first three of which will count towards the ICC Women's Championship, reports CMC.

She is the only player in the squad who did not represent West Indies in the just concluded home series against New Zealand.

Munroe last played for West Indies in an ODI against New Zealand in February and last played a T20I against Sri Lanka in March 2013.

The ICC Women's Championship is a multi-year, bilateral competition between the top eight international sides that will lead to qualification for the 2017 World Cup to be held in England.

The team will depart from Barbados Oct 14 to begin a 10-day training camp in Sydney. The first T20I will be held at the North Sydney Oval in Sydney Nov 2.

The squad: Merissa Aguilleira (Captain), Stafanie Taylor (vice-captain), Shemaine Campbelle, Shamilia Connell, Britney Cooper, Shanel Daley, Deandra Dottin, Kycia Knight, Hayley Matthews, Anisa Mohammed, Subrina Munroe, Shaquana Quintyne, Tremayne Smartt, Shakera Selman.
