Actress Drew Barrymore feels that the upbringing which she received as a child has helped her in dealing with many situations.
The 38-year-old said that even though her every step wasn't monitored when she was young, she went through things in her youth which were "out there" and "exposed" and this has taught her well, reports contactmusic.com.
"Even though I grew up in a different time, when every step you took wasn't recorded, I still went through things in my youth that were totally out there and very much exposed. I didn't know it at the time, but it was a blessing. It prepared me for this world we live in today," she told Bang Showbiz.
The actress, who has a 14-month-old daughter Olive with husband Will Kopelman, is pregnant with her second child.
