Napoli confirmed on Friday the sale of Spanish midfielder David Lopez to Spanish football club Espanyol, where he trained before joining the Italian side in 2014.
The Italian club confirmed the sale on its official website, thanking the player who joined the club in 2014 and participated in 79 games, reported Efe.
Lopez now prepares to return to La Liga, a tournament that he has already played in during the 2013/2014 season, when he played 33 games with Espanyol.
This is the fifth player to leave Napoli during this season's transfer window following the departures of Argentine Gonzalo Higuain (Juventus) and Mariano Andujar (Estudiantes), Brazilian Gabriel (Milan) and Juan Camilo Zuniga (Watford).
