There were reports that Naseeruddin Shah and Randeep Hooda decided to boycott "John Day" on discovering its unoriginal content, but the former denies any such thing.
According to reports, director Ahishor Solomon's "John Day" is ripped off from a Spanish film called "Box 507".
"I was unaware of any similarity and I haven't seen that Spanish film," said Naseer and added: "I must find out about that film first. But how many original movies are made here in the first place?"
Naseer, known for his work in films like "Arth", "Masoom", and most recent "Iqbal", says he doesn't work in plagiarized product.
"Not knowingly for sure. Unknowingly I may had."
