National Conference leader Devender Rana on Wednesday sought the Jammu and Kashmir Speaker's direction to file a FIR against a Minister over 'lynching' remarks made in the assembly.
Rana, who heads the National Conference in Jammu, asked Speaker Kavinder Gupta to pass directions to police chief to file a criminal complaint against Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Imran Ansari.
Ansari on Tuesday told Rana: "I can lynch you here. I know all your shady businesses."
Rana said if the Speaker did not pass the directions, he would personally go and lodge a FIR against Ansari.
Speaker Gupta said he was sorry for the unpleasant exchange between the rival legislators. He also asked them not to hurl threats against each other in future.
