The timing for the Change of Guard ceremony that takes place every Saturday at Rashtrapati Bhavan will change Aug 15 onwards, a Rashtrapati Bhavan statement said Thursday.
The new timing for the ceremony is between 9 a.m. and 9.40 a.m. from Aug 15 to Nov 14, as against the earlier time of 8 a.m. to 8.40 a.m., the statement said.
The ceremony, a military tradition, is held at the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan when a fresh unit of troops takes charge of duties.
Opened for public viewing in 2007, the ceremony was revamped and relocated in December 2012 after President Pranab Mukherjee assumed office.
