Newcastle's goalkeeper Tim Krul has joined Ajax on loan until the end of the season.
The 28-year-old, who signed a one-year contract extension with Newcastle on Thursday, has agreed to remain a Newcastle player until the summer of 2018, reports Xinhua news agency.
However, Krul will spend the rest of the season with Ajax, as he is still recovering from a ligament injury suffered last October.
Krul has made 185 appearances for Newcastle since 2005. He became the Magpies first choice goalkeeper in the 2011-12 season.
