Nigeria plans to win more medals at the forthcoming Paralympics in Brazil, an official said as athletes gradually round off preparations for the games.
Ahead of the games scheduled to be held in Rio from September 7 to 18, the Nigerian Paralympic athletes appear set to make their country proud, President of the Nigeria Paralympics Committee, Monday Emoghawve told reporters here on Monday.
He said preparation for the games was challenging at the beginning but the athletes have garnered both financial and mental support to win medals at the games.
"We have never disappointed before and we will not disappoint in Brazil," he said.
At the London games in 2012, Nigeria won 13 medals -- six gold, five silver and two bronze.
