Skills and talent development company NIIT has entered into two strategic tie-ups with Yinchuan City Economic and Technology Development Zone and Ningxia University to develop a pool of IT professionals in China, the Indian multi-national said here on Wednesday.

NIIT said it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Yinchuan City Economic and Technology Development Zone to train 2,500 learners from universities, colleges and enterprises in the next five years with financial support from Ningxia provincial government.

"These agreements are in line with our vision to develop a globally competitive IT talent pool in China, armed with futuristic skill-sets aligned to the requirements of the fast-evolving digital economy," said Rahul Patwardhan, CEO, NIIT Ltd, in a statement.

According to the MoU, NIIT will establish a training base in public-private partnership model to conduct IT training in Digital Transformation technologies.

The company also joined hands with Ningxia University to provide IT training through 'NIIT Inside Model'.

'NIIT Inside Model' is a unique curriculum integration model for co-operation with universities and colleges in China where NIIT programmes will be embedded in university/college IT curriculum, the company said.
