Actress Swara Bhaskar says that her upcoming film "Nil Bate Sannata" is on the lines of women-centric films that are currently trending and doing well at the box-office.
"' Nil Bate Sannata' is a positive film. At a time when women-centric films and content-driven films are trending, this film is one of them. It keeps women's issues at the centre. I feel the audience will like the film," said Swara at the wrap-up party of the film "Happy Bhaag Jayegi".
Recent women-centric film, "Neerja" has done tremendous business at the box-office and in recent times other such films such as "NH 10", "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" and "Piku" among others have also done well.
Swara plays a 15-year-old's mother in the film and added that the film is an inspiring family movie. She also hopes that "Nil Bate Sannata" creates a storm at the box-office unlike the "sannata" in the title which means silence.
"I wish the film creates good buzz unlike the title. It is a lovely film and I am very excited about it. My role in the film is very different. I am very hopeful about 'Nil Bate Sannata'."
The film is directed by "Bhoothnath Returns" director Nitesh Tiwari's wife Ashwini Iyer Tiwari and also features Ratna Pathak Shah and Pankaj Tripathi.
It had received tremendous applause at the BFI London Film Festival (LFF) and the Silk Road International Film Festival in China, where Swara received the Best Actress Award.
"Nil Bate Sannata" is set to release on April 22.
