Director Chandoo Mondeti has rubbished rumours that Nithya Menon has been roped in as one of the leading ladies in Telugu romantic-drama "Majnu", a remake of Malayalam blockbuster "Premam".
"Not sure where these rumours come from. We haven't even approached Nithya for the role," Mondeti told IANS.
Starring Naga Chaitanya, "Majnu" will feature Shruti Haasan and Anupama Parameswaran in the lead roles.
To be produced by S. Radha Krishna, the film is set to go on the floors soon.
"Premam", which emerged as one of the highest grossing Malayalam films ever, is the coming of age tale of its protagonist at different stages of his life.
