Noida registers marked increase in revenue receipts

The Uttar Pradesh government Friday announced that the Noida Authority has registered a marked increase in receipts in the last two months.

Principal secretary, Infrastructure and Industrial Development Department (IIDD), Surya Pratap Singh said that of the total receipts of Rs.1,780.66 crore till October, about one-third, amounting to Rs 574.60 crore, were recorded during September and October.

The industries department has collected Rs.106.98 crore till October against receipts of Rs.48.09 crore in 2012, he said.

The group housing department received Rs.1,107.06 crore till October as compared to Rs.1,035.91 crore in 2012, said Singh.

The principal secretary directed the officials to issue the mandatory notices and cancel the allotment of plots or properties of allottees who fail to pay their dues by the given date.

Officials were also asked to verify the quality of civil works including roads and flyovers by third party workforce.

However, Rs.5,214.68 crore was pending against 3,696 defaulter allottees.
