Tokyo, May 28 (IANS/RIA Novosti) North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has called for rapid completion of a "world-class" ski resort in the isolated northeast Asian state, national media have reported.
Kim was reported to have instructed the Korean People's Army to speed up its work on the Masik Pass Skiing Ground project "so that the skiing ground may go operational from the upcoming winter".
The ski resort is to be built on a mountain pass near the eastern port city of Wonsan, the Korean Central News Agency said.
Kim predicted a "wave" of enthusiasm for skiing would sweep the country after the Masik Pass zone's completion.
